A later Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows entry, from the 2015 film era. It rehabilitates dwelling: beyond nostalgia (which sweetens) and regret (which sours), a third posture — reading your past like a page of ink that hasn’t dried, letting fresh context seep in over the years.
The paradox in the quotation is the fulcrum: the ink is indelible, and it never dries. Sealed and still open, on the same page.
